P4/5 COMPETIZIONE MARK III
THE STORY

The iconic P4/5 Competizione Mark III has come back at the 2016 Nürburgring 24 Hours with enhanced performances. This race car is a derivative of the world famous Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina road car that stunned the automotive world when it was first unveiled in 2006, created by Paolo Garella during his tenure at Pininfarina. This was a bespoke one-off car commissioned by Jim Glickenhaus. Predictably, Jim was instantly attracted to the idea of a race car – so a competition version was soon designed and built. The P4/5 Competizione made its Nürburgring24 Hours in 2011 and was awarded with a trophy by the race organisers for being the most significant new entry that year.

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus returned to the epic race the following year with an evolution of its unique car, now called P4/5 Competizione M, which was even faster thanks to a Formula One style hybrid Kinetic Energy Recovery System. The car finished 12th overall and won its class after a successful round-the-clock event.
