MAT will support Aspark in the vehicle development and in reaching the very aggressive targets that Aspark has set for this full electric Hypercar. The Owl will be manufactured in a bespoke facility that will take full advantage of MAT experience in Hypercars manufacturing.
The Owl is conceived, designed and engineered to be the fastest accelerating, fully electric, hypercar: the extreme shape of the design, the technological level of the components and the advanced studies on the materials will enable her to reach 0-100 kph in under 1,90’’
The Owl's engine is powered by two electric motors, one for each axle. They produce a combined 430 horsepower and 563 pound-feet of torque. That may not seem like a lot in the context of Aspark’s performance claims, but the Owl weighs just 1,874 pounds. Electricity comes from a combination of batteries and super capacitors. Aspark also claims a top speed of 174 mph.
The Owl has the most powerful 4 electric motors ever made. They produce a total power of 1480 kW with 2012 horsepower. Overall torque is around 2000 Newton meters.
